Service Description
The IREF mentor program is to teach 4 critical pillars of the IREF philosophy. Educate, Motivate, Evaluate, Celebrate Mentor's are taught the IREF protocols and they apply to the laws. The mentors are also taught how to hold coaches and parent accountable with the "Ask Tell Terminate" protocol. “Club/City Mentor” (CM)--The CM’s primary function is to give positive feedback to flatten the learning curve for new and upcoming referee's. This workshops will focus on, foul recognition, whistle use, match management, talking to players, coaches and parents with a smile, real time live match mentoring, survey feedback . Centers: CM's can be on the pitch during the match running with the referee helping with positioning, Mechanics, game maintenance. Help raise the soccer IQ or players, coaches and parents. CM's should center the older games U12 and U14 and have a younger ref shadow them in the field. This will be a good experience for the young referee to see your path and hear you talk to the players and they should mimic your mechanics for every call. Then in the second half you follow them having that younger referee take the lead with you beside them asking what they are seeing, helping with signal mechanics and so on. AR’s: CM;s will help the AR by running the line behind the AR pointing out what to look for on the line foul recognition and flag mechanics. Help raise the soccer IQ or players, coaches and parents. Client and IREF will agree on a date, time and location for the clinic. In the Salt Lake valley, the UYSA office may be an option if the schedule permits. Client is responsible for providing a location for the clinic that has ample space with chairs and projection screen or a large HDMI capable TV for the presentation. A location that has close access to a soccer pitch or grass area is preferable. Clinic can be cancelled 72 hours prior to clinic without a cancellation fee. cancellation with in the 72 hours period will incur a $50.00 cancelation fee.
